How to change the status of feedback in Manuscript Analysis

Manuscript Analysis gives you detailed feedback on your entire manuscript, prioritized by importance. You can change the status of the feedback you receive in Manuscript Analysis to personalize and organize your report.

In the heading of each feedback category, click on the status menu button on the right-hand side of the heading. If you have not selected it before, the status menu button will be “New.” We have highlighted this in red in the image below.

Select “Agree” if you agree with the feedback or “Disagree” if you do not agree with the feedback. When you make either selection, the feedback section will be grayed out to show you have decided its status. If you select “New” again, the feedback section will no longer be grayed out. We have shown an example of the difference between decided and undecided statuses in the image below.

Does changing status remove feedback?

No, changing status does not remove feedback in the report. The change status menu is only designed to help you organize feedback and indicate what you are considering and have decided.

The feedback statuses you change will be saved in the report. This is the case even if you close the report and reopen it again later.
