Is the text suggested by ProWritingAid original?

We have designed our generative features to create a unique response every time you run it. Our suggestions are never copied from other texts.

The corrections suggested by our reports, or new text generated by Rephrase or Sparks, are generated specifically for you, based on the content you have selected or that any of our reports have flagged.

Our generative features (like Rephrase or Sparks) use the text you select as a prompt to generate the best original response each time. If your writing is original, the results you see in Sparks should also be original.

Suggestions are created by a generative AI model that generates responses word by word. The model learns concepts and language structure from the texts it’s been trained on, but it doesn’t copy and paste from those texts. Each time it generates a suggestion, it provides you with new, original text.

Additionally, we’ll never use your writing and data to train our generative AI models or algorithms. You can learn more in this article.

Should I use a plagiarism checker after editing my text?

While it’s extremely unlikely that any text generated by ProWritingAid will contain plagiarized text, we cannot guarantee it.

We encourage that you use a plagiarism checker to verify that your text is original. This applies to writing you’ve created yourself and any text you’ve generated or edited using ProWritingAid or any other tool.

To prevent plagiarism in your writing, you can use ProWritingAid’s Plagiarism Check. Please note that Plagiarism Credits are not included in any of our subscriptions. You can learn more here.
