How do I use the Plagiarism Check?

You will need to purchase Plagiarism Credits to use our Plagiarism Checker, which you can do here https://prowritingaid.com/en/App/PlagiarismChecker. You can buy the checks in bundles of 10, 100, 500, and 1000.

You can also access plagiarism checks by purchasing one of our Premium Plus subscriptions on our dedicated Purchase Page where you'll automatically get 60 plagiarism checks each year included with your plan.

Each check can be used on a maximum of 2000 words. So, if you have a document that is 8000 words long and want to check the whole document, you'd need to use 4 checks. If you wanted to check a shorter piece of text, say 500 words, that would still use one whole check.

You can activate ProWritingAid's Plagiarism Checker via any of the toolbars within our Web Editor, Word add-in, or Google Docs integration. You may have to click the 'More Reports' option in the toolbar to access the checker, depending on where you're using ProWritingAid.

Click on the word "Plagiarism" in the menu option like you would any other report to automatically generate results.

Once you run the report, you'll see your results in the left panel. You'll also see how many checks you have left.

You can also track how many plagiarism checks you have left by viewing your ProWritingAid account.

Plagiarism is a major concern for many people, especially those writing academic works. The plagiarism checks performed by ProWritingAid will check your work against over a billion web-pages and articles to make sure that you have correctly cited any unoriginal content.

If you run a plagiarism check and nothing is marked, the most likely explanation is that you didn't have any plagiarized content.
