How to report issues, errors, and bugs

If you experience a persistent issue, error, or bug when using ProWritingAid, please contact our support team and report this in as much detail as possible in the first message you send.

What information should I include about the error?

Please give us the following details about the issue in the first message you send:

  • The ProWritingAid integration you are using.
  • Your computer's operating system, including the version.
  • Your internet browser, including the version.
  • The text, screenshot, or video that shows the error.

How to copy the text of the error

To copy the text that is displayed when the error occurs, highlight the relevant text, then right-click. A menu will appear. Select “Copy” to copy the highlighted text to your clipboard.

Once you have copied the text, please paste it in your reply to this email. To paste the text, right-click on your computer. A menu will appear. Select “Paste” to paste the text into your email.

How to take a screenshot of the error

If you are seeing an error message, please take a screenshot of this. If you need to, you can find out more about how to take a screenshot at: http://www.take-a-screenshot.org/. Once you have the screenshot, please paste or attach it in the message you send to us.

How to record a video of the error

Please visit the Loom website to get Loom for free or install an extension on your browser.

Here are some helpful tips on how to record a video:

  • Show us the exact steps you are taking to experience the issue.
  • Take your time when recording these steps.
  • If you would like to speak, please speak clearly and loudly.

Once you have created a Loom video, click on the icon button in the top right-hand side of your screen to share the link to your video.

Next, please paste the link to your video in the message you send to us.
