How do I unsubscribe from emails?

You can unsubscribe from any or all marketing emails or update your email preferences at any time. You can do this either in your account or directly from the unsubscribe links in the emails we have sent you.

How to unsubscribe from all marketing emails via My Account

Log in to your ProWritingAid account and visit the My Account page. Under “Account Details,” click on “Manage notification preferences.” We have highlighted this in red in the image below.

You will go to the “Notification Settings” page where you can access your email settings.

On the “Notification Settings” page, if you have subscribed to our emails, there will be a green “ON” label next to “Email Notifications.”

To unsubscribe from our emails, click on “Turn Off Email Notifications.” We have highlighted this in red in the image below.

The label next to “Email Notifications” will change to a red “OFF” label. You will also see a message in a green banner with a green check mark that confirms you have successfully unsubscribed from email notifications. We have shown an example of these changes in the image below.

You have now unsubscribed from all our marketing emails.

How to unsubscribe from all marketing emails via an email we sent you

All ProWritingAid emails include a footer with links to unsubscribe from all marketing emails, unsubscribe from specific types of emails, and to manage your email preferences. We have shown an example of this footer in the image below.

To unsubscribe from all marketing emails, click on the “here” hyperlink after “unsubscribe from all marketing emails.” A new window will open that confirms you have successfully unsubscribed from all marketing emails. We have shown an example of this message in the image below.

Once you have unsubscribed, you will not receive any emails from ProWritingAid except essential billing and subscription emails and replies to any Help Center queries you send. This also means you will not be notified about any credits, rewards, or offers you may receive for taking part in our writing events.

Alternatively, you can unsubscribe only from the type of email we sent you. To do this, click on the “here” hyperlink after “unsubscribe from this kind of email.”

How to select the types of emails you receive via My Account

To manage the types of emails you receive from us, your email notifications must be set to “ON.” Under “Choose individual emails,” you can check or uncheck each box to select the types of emails you want to receive. We have highlighted this section in red in the image below.

If you are unsure what type of emails to expect for a specific category, click on “Example.” This will open a new tab that shows a previous email we sent.

Whenever you check or uncheck a box, a green notification will appear under “Notification Settings” to confirm you have successfully subscribed or unsubscribed to that email type. We have shown an example of this notification in the image below.

How to select the types of emails you receive via an email we sent you

To visit your Notification Settings directly from an email we sent you instead, click on the “here” hyperlink next to “update your email preferences.” A new window will open on the Notification Settings page of My Account, as shown in the images above.
