What are Streaks?

Streaks are your personal recognition for showing up regularly. To start a streak, you simply need to log in and access ProWritingAid at least once a week, whether you open your dashboard, Desktop Everywhere, or one of our browser extensions.

How do I continue my streak?

Be sure to log in and access ProWritingAid at least once per calendar week. We count each calendar week between Monday to Sunday on Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). This means if you open ProWritingAid at any time during this period on your first week, you can earn a 2-week streak by opening ProWritingAid again at any time during the same period on your second week.

How do I track my current streak?

You can see your current streak when you open your dashboard or the “Home” tab of Desktop Everywhere. It is indicated by a fire icon with a number showing the number of weeks of your current streak. We have shown an example of this icon below.

To find out more, you can click directly on the icon in your dashboard or click “See more of your progress” in Desktop Everywhere. This will open the “Progress” page in your dashboard.

At the top of this page, there is your “Activity overview” that shows your current streak and your best streak. We have shown an example of this section below.

What are streak badges?

You also get recognition for your streak by earning streak badges. When you hit specific milestones, such as a 2-week streak, a 4-week streak, and right up to a 104-week streak, you will earn a streak badge.

When you earn a badge, a pop-up window will appear to tell you about your achievement. You can also visit the “Badges” page in your dashboard to see the streak badges you have earned and which ones you still need to unlock.
