What is Write with Pride?
Write with Pride is a free writing event that celebrates LGBTQIA+ voices and stories. It is taking place from June 1 to 30, 2026, and all writers are welcome to join Write with Pride for free.
What is happening during Write with Pride?
Write with Pride includes exclusive events with expert guest speakers, writing challenges, and inclusive spaces within our community. If you haven’t signed up to our community yet, it’s easy to join as you can log in with your existing ProWritingAid profile.

Join daily live events
After you sign up for Write with Pride, you’ll have a whole monthlong calendar of events to view and RVSP to. That includes live sessions on crafting LGBTQIA+ stories with experienced authors and creative writing educators. Writing sprints take place several times each day.
Can’t make an event? You still don’t have to miss out as you can watch them back in our event replay space.
Share your stories and opinions
We are also hosting a Pride Bookshelf throughout the month. It’s a space to showcase your LGBTQIA+ writing by adding your story to the shelf.
We will also have four Pride Book Club rooms, where you can share your thoughts and opinions on four books within different genres of LGBTQIA+ fiction.
Join the Pride Challenge
This 30-day challenge will inspire you to develop structured writing habits and explore powerful themes with a series of short writing exercises. Each week of the challenge has a different theme, including character identity, building relationships, and impactful scenes.
