Why is Rephrase not working?

There are three most likely reasons why Rephrase is not working for you. This could be because:

  • You have not selected the correct amount of text in your document.
  • You are using a ProWritingAid integration that does not support Rephrase.
  • Rephrase has been turned off.

We can help you resolve all of these issues.

How to select text in your document for Rephrase

Rephrase is designed to give you suggestions for rewriting a single sentence in your document. If you select more or less than one sentence and then click the “Rephrase” button, it may not work in the way you expected.

  • If you select less than one sentence: Rephrase will automatically select the entire sentence and suggest rephrases for you.
  • If you select more than one sentence: Rephrase will automatically select the first sentence out of all the sentences you selected. It will then suggest rephrases for that first sentence only.
