Does ProWritingAid support adult themes and content?

ProWritingAid is the essential toolkit for storytellers, including those who specialize in romance and erotica. ProWritingAid supports works that include adult themes, provided that the content is legal and isn’t considered extreme.

When your writing includes adult content, generative features like Rephrase or Sparks may show or generate a content warning. However, you should be able to ignore this prompt or delete any content warnings from your text.

When using the Realtime or other reports, you may also be prompted to use “Polite Language.” You can ignore this safely or add any flagged words or phrases to your Style Guide if you use them regularly.

Are there restrictions on what I can use ProWritingAid for?

While ProWritingAid supports adult content and themes, there are some restrictions on the content you can create or edit with ProWritingAid.

You cannot use ProWritingAid for:

• Creating or hosting any material that promotes illegal activity, could be considered a criminal offense, could result in civil liability, or that violates any local, state, national, and international law or regulation
• Creating or hosting spam, chain letters, junk mail, or any other type of unsolicited mass email
• Sharing with any minor any content or materials inappropriate for children or allowing any minor access to such materials
