How do I activate my account?
When you sign up for a ProWritingAid account, if you enter an email address and password to sign up, we will send an activation email to the email address associated with your account. To activate your ProWritingAid account, you must confirm your email address via the email we will send to you.
If you purchase a ProWritingAid subscription via PayPal when you sign up for a ProWritingAid account, we will instead send the activation email to the email address associated with your PayPal account.
If you signed up with your Google or Facebook login details, you can skip this step as we won’t need to send you an activation email.
What your activation email looks like
Your activation email will be sent from “ProWritingAid” within 48 hours of when you signed up for your account. It will have the subject line “[Action required] Confirm your email.”
To activate your account, you must click on the “Confirm email” button. We have shown an example of your activation email in the image below.

If you haven’t received your activation email
If you haven’t received your activation email within 48 hours, please check the “Spam” or “Junk” folder in your email address. If you have still not received it, please contact our support team.
Complete onboarding
After you have confirmed your email, you need to complete our onboarding process to activate your account. When you log in, we will ask you questions about:
- Which type of writer you are
- Your writing experience
- Which writing apps you use
- How much progress you have made on your current story
- What we can help you with
You need to answer (or skip) these questions to complete onboarding. Your account will then be activated.
