Benefits of taking part in Novel November
Community support and published author mentors
Throughout November, we will support all participants in reaching the 50,000-word goal by the end of the month. We will host guided writing sprints, workshops, and exercises in our ProWritingAid Community to help you hit the target.
Bestselling authors including Madeline Miller (The Song of Achilles), Tomi Adeyemi (Children of Blood and Bone), Mary Adkins (Palm Beach), Rufi Thorpe (Margot’s Got Money Troubles), Jessica Brody (Save the Cat! Writes a Novel), Onyi Nwabineli (Someday, Maybe), Graham Bartlett (City on Fire), and more will all be offering mentoring during Novel November.
Consistent writing habits
We’ll send you daily motivational emails to help you get in the habit of writing as often as possible. Having a large word count to aim for will also encourage you to write faster to beat “writer’s block” and power through the “messy middle.” You can save the editing for a later date, using ProWritingAid’s real-time grammar checker and 25+ writing reports.
Visible rewards and results
It’s not just that you’ll have a tangible 50,000-word manuscript to work with at the end of the challenge. We’ll also reward you every step of the way with commemorative badges for word-count milestones. You can also connect with like-minded writers in our Community, with a dedicated chat space for Novel November participants.
