Which ProWritingAid integration should I use?
ProWritingAid offers different integrations to edit and analyze your writing in your preferred writing apps and websites. Which one you choose depends entirely on where you like to write.
You can disable our integrations at any time. This means you can control when you see suggestions and when you want uninterrupted focus.
Desktop Everywhere
Desktop Everywhere for Windows and Mac gives you editing suggestions and advanced analysis directly in your favorite writing apps installed on your computer.
If you use Desktop Everywhere for Windows, our Word Add-In for Windows will download alongside it. This means when you are using Word, you will see our Word Add-In. In all other compatible programs, Desktop Everywhere will appear as a floating icon in your documents.
If you use Desktop Everywhere for Mac, it will appear as a floating icon in your documents for all compatible programs, including Word.
Chrome browser extension
Our Chrome browser extension gives you access to all of our writing reports on Google Docs, Notion, Atticus, Campfire, and hundreds of other websites. It will appear as a floating icon in the websites you use.
If you prefer to use Microsoft Edge or Firefox, we offer browser extensions for these too.
Web Editor
Our Web Editor gives you synchronized access to the documents you save there. This means you can edit your document on the go, regardless of where you’re editing that specific document. You can use our Web Editor in all compatible browsers.
We are no longer updating our Microsoft Office Add-In for Mac, Google Docs Add-In, or Desktop Editor integrations. This means you may experience issues we cannot control or resolve. While these integrations will continue to function, you may miss out on exciting new features and improvements.
We recommend that you download Desktop Everywhere instead.
