What is the Placeholders feature?
The Placeholders feature is a way to help you keep your writing flow while tagging areas that need further work, research, or refinement. It is part of the ProWritingMethod.
How do Placeholders work?
Placeholders create a marker in your writing for something you need to return to. This may be because you’re uncertain of the accuracy in your writing or simply feel you should make further revisions. A Placeholder can contain an entire scene or just a single character name; it’s completely up to you.
You will find Placeholders in “Write” mode. Once you have marked a Placeholder in your writing with square brackets “[ ],” it will appear in the Placeholders section for you to return to later.
