What is Novel Summer Camp?
Novel Summer Camp (NovCamp) is a free four-week writing experience that is open to all writers with a ProWritingAid account. It is taking place from July 13 to August 7, 2026.
How do I join Novel Summer Camp?
You can sign up for Novel Summer Camp now. You will then be able to access the NovCamp dashboard ahead of the July 13 start date.
To sign up for Novel Summer Camp, you need a ProWritingAid account. If you don’t have one, you can sign up for a ProWritingAid account in just a few minutes.
You will also be able to join NovCamp live writing sprints and events in our community. If you haven’t signed up to our community yet, it’s easy to join as you can log in with your existing ProWritingAid profile.

What is happening during Novel Summer Camp?
Novel Summer Camp includes exclusive events with NovCamp Counselors who are expert authors, book coaches, mentors, and editors within our community. You can also access the NovCamp dashboard throughout the event.
Join a NovCamp Cabin
You will have the chance to join a cabin of 10–15 like-minded writers on a similar journey. You can share progress, advice, and inspiration in this smaller social space.
Access the NovCamp dashboard
On your NovCamp dashboard, you can give your current piece a title and log your progress toward a 10,000-word goal. You can also earn badges when you reach key milestones, view upcoming NovCamp events, and learn more about our NovCamp Counselors.
Join daily live events
Sign up for Novel Summer Camp, and you’ll have a whole calendar of NovCamp Events to view and RSVP to. That includes live writing sprints, webinars hosted by our expert counselors, S’mores Social Hours, and Campfire Story Circles. Writing sprints take place several times each day.
