Why Am I Seeing an Unknown Error With the Summary Report in Google Docs?

Other integrations and extensions available may look different to the screenshots below.We won’t be updating our Google Docs Add-on in the future. We recommend that you download our Chrome extension, which is compatible with Google Docs.


Unfortunately, this error is a known issue. Please see the below workaround that should work for you.

  1. Open the 'Improve Document' feature of our ProWritingAid Google Docs add-on:

  1. Click 'Summary' to run the report.

Alternatively, you can install our Chrome extension, which is compatible with Google Docs and should not have this issue.

Please note that we won’t be updating our Google Docs Add-on. If you want to use any new features with Google Docs, you’ll need to install our Chrome extension.
