How do I stop the Desktop Editor from saying "Project open in another programme" (Mac)?
To resolve the issue you are experiencing, please follow the steps below:
- Go to Finder, and click on the 'Go' menu at the top of the screen here:
- Press the 'Alt' key on your keyboard to see the 'Library' option appear on the 'Go' menu - it was hidden before.
3. Locate the Application Support folder and open it.
- Open the folder titled 'ProWritingAid Desktop'
- Delete the file named 'ApplicationState.json'.
Once you have completed these steps, please reopen the Desktop Editor. You may still see the message that your project is open in another programme. If so, simply click continue and the notification should no longer appear.
