Why is my reports toolbar missing?

We have recently updated the look and functionality of the Web Editor. As part of this update, the reports toolbar is no longer at the top of the screen. You can still access all our reports under the "Edit" tab in the new sidebar.

Don't worry, our reports are not missing. They have just moved to a new location. In our updated Web Editor, you can still access all our reports in the new sidebar on the righthand side. We have shown an example of this sidebar in the image below.

The new sidebar includes four tabs:

  • Home: This shows recommendations, announcements, and events as you scroll down.
  • Plan: Planning tools, such as Story Canvas.
  • Write: Writing and focus tools, including the Session Timer and Writing Sprints.
  • Edit: All of your editing tools and reports.

Within the Edit tab, you'll find:

  • Critique: Story Critique reports, including Manuscript AnalysisChapter Critique, and more.
  • Reports: Editing reports, such as Sticky SentencesRepeatsSensory, and others.
  • Polish: The real-time editing report.

To access the reports you are looking for, click on the "Edit" tab. We have highlighted this in red in the image below.

Then click on the "Reports" icon in the righthand sidebar within the menu. We have highlighted this icon in red in the image below.
